Pathways to Inclusive Collections

This presentation material supports a workshop presented at the 2024 RIT & UR Staff Conference.

The University of Rochester River Campus Libraries (RCL) DEIA in Collections team will host a panel discussion on the numerous strategies, challenges, and lessons encountered while attempting to develop an inclusive collection. This panel will put an emphasis on audience collaboration and brainstorming. Lindsey will examine the ways in which academic libraries and public libraries coincide and diverge in diversity of collecting and how we can strengthen that work within academic libraries, from the perspective of a former public librarian.
